Student Ministries is one of five St. Peter's core strategies that helps students in K-5 as well as Jr. & Sr. High aged students grow in their relationship with Christ as each develops an understanding of their unique missionary role.
Under the 2015-2016 theme "Stories of Faith," Student Ministries will be presenting a monthly Bible story that will be experienced both "with my church" and "with my family." Our Goal this year will be to help the students grow in cross-generational relationships and to prepare students, and their families, to share their faith and invite others.
Our Student Ministries leadership team is made up of:
1YR-PRE-K STUDENTS: following the children's message in worship, the children are invited to "Kid's Kare" age appropriate Biblical activities taught by a licensed EC teacher. Following the sermon, the children will be brought back to the sanctuary to join their parents.
K-5 STUDENTS: Each month we will be presenting a Bible story, sharing an "Arch Book" colorful storybook with each student, providing take home activities to reinforce the Biblical learning with family, and through gathering on the 4th Sunday of each month for Faith, Family, Friends to go deeper together.
6-12 STUDENTS will serve as buddies for the younger students. The older students will also be challenged weekly to apply the Bible story to their own lives through chalk board questions (in a Caribou Coffee style) and through instragram and text messages to challenge the students to experience Biblical living.
