The Weekly Prayer Project

In 2026 we are launching into "The Weekly Prayer Project" - a challenge to journal, pray, reflect and connect with God. Discover what God is doing in your life through a Scriptural promise each week. He hears, He notices, He listens, He answers.

Week 4: UP TO GOD

If you are attending our in-person service, be sure to pick up a book at the Welcome Center or request one at prayer@stpetersedina.org. Stop at the Welcome Center after worship to also get a gift bag filled with appreciation for you being here (and information about St. Peter’s.) Take a minute to complete a Connect Card in the seat back and leave it at the Welcome Center so we can welcome you with a gift.

If you are connecting online, fill out a Digital Connect Card so we know you were with us and can provide answers to any questions you may have. Please worship with us again soon.

STP KIDS Busy Bags

We’re excited to share something new for our kids! We’ve created some new STP KIDS Busy Bags to help little hands stay engaged during service. These bags are packed with fun and helpful items like a “Mr. Pop” fidget, LCD writing tablet, a book, and other fidget toys to keep busy hands occupied. We’re excited to offer these as a way to support kids and families during service.

Sunday Bible Study 10:45am

We are beginning a topical study of prayer. We will have discussion and encouragement in your prayer life around a video teaching by Michael DeFazio, professor New Testament theology at Ozark Christian College. We will explore how to pray, what to pray, answer questions about prayer, and engage in many other topics surrounding prayer, in order to expand your knowledge of communicating with our Father.

Grab some coffee and a treat and join us after worship in the Discipleship Room just to the right as you leave the sanctuary. All are welcome. We will wrap up by 11:45pm.

Unlabeled Theatre Company

What a terrific run! All shows were sold out. Auditions for the next show begin this week.

Several reviews were published. Click on the button below and scroll down to “Recent Media” to see what the community is saying about Unlabled.

Add Your Prayer Requests

May we pray for you? Please add your prayer requests to our prayer tool. It is very easy to submit a brief prayer request on our St. Peter’s Prayer Wall. You can share specifics or just be anonymous with your request. God knows!

What is Jesus doing around you?

Ready to inspire and encourage others? Jesus is writing a story every day. Tell about what the Lord is doing around you. Did someone ask you a faith question? Did you have an opportunity to show love to a neighbor or a friend? It can be something huge or something very small. A random act of kindness that you were prompted to do? A discussion with a stranger? Share the story. When you do, your Christian friends will be motivated and ready to watch for what Jesus is doing in their lives too. He is up to something right now!!!

Use the online form by clicking the button below. You and the person you have in mind can be anonymous. We would love to hear about it.

Ready to Serve in 2026?

There is a group of St. Peter’s members who have been serving our Edina community by delivering meals through the Crosstown Meals on Wheels organization. We could use some more drivers to pick up meals at Normandale Lutheran Church at 10:45 AM and deliver them to Edina locations on the 4th Monday of each month. The routes generally take less than 2 hours to complete, so it’s not a huge time commitment. If you’d like to join us in performing this vital community service, please call or text Rich Licht at 612-804-7108 or e-mail rjlicht@msn.com.

Contribute in the Basket, Online, or by Mail

We encourage you to join us in the excitement of generous giving and watch what God is doing in our community and around the world. There is a basket just inside the main entryway if you would like to contribute - go to the giving options on the website by clicking the button below. Perhaps you want to support our ongoing ministry, give to the Mission Fund, or specifically help with the Facility Fund, the Gym Fund, or the Raise the Roof Campaign. Wherever and however you give, you will partner with God to bless others.

Together we meet families at the intersection of faith and real life.

Return your “Raise the Roof” pledge card.

We have had a great response to our campaign to pay down our Church Improvement Loan taken out to replace our roof. The loan was for $150,000 and all gifts will pay down the loan principal.

Please make a pledge for campaign to be contributed in 2026 and 2027. You can make a recurring gift weekly, monthly, or annually. Many have chosen to set up automatic donations online. Would you help us reach our ministry goal? Bring back your pledge card in the New Year and place it in the offering basket - or send your commitment to info@stpetersedina.org. Pledge Cards are available near the offering basket or at the Welcome Center.

The beautiful sanctuary and functional school building has served generations and with a new roof we know that more will enjoy worship and Christian education for a long time.

A Reminder of God’s Faithfulness

Take out the elastic cord from your ornament and use it on a table top year round! More St. Peter’s ornaments / table top displays are now available. Since 1957 the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church roofline has been identifiable in our community. We want to provide an opportunity to take home a celebration of the roof being replaced this past summer so the next generation can gather to worship and learn. It will also help us move toward our goal of paying off the Church Improvement Loan needed for the roof replacement. It is a reminder of God’s faithfulness!

The goal of our “Raise the Roof” campaign is to pay off our debt of $150,000 by the end of 2027. If you would like an ornament/display, the suggested donation is $100.

It was custom designed by Alex Wheeler. It has a light and can be hung or remove the string and place it on a desktop year-round. The battery is replaceable.

Thank you for supporting our campaign.

Interested in Church Architecture?

St. Peter’s will be illustrated along with other post World War II modernist places of worship in a presentation sponsored by the Linden Hills History Study Group. Bobak Ha’Eri will explain the rise of modernism, its arrival in Minnesota, and how it expressed itself through places of worship across the city. Everyone is welcome. A suggested donation of $5 supports their work. St. Peter’s has many visitors who stop in just to see our Ralph Rapson designed sanctuary.
