The Weekly Prayer Project

We can be people who are overflowing with gratitude even when life isn’t easy. When you pray, thank God for giving you everything you need and everything that matters.

Week 10: SACRIFICE OF PRAISE

This year, we are following "The Weekly Prayer Project" - a challenge to journal, pray, reflect and connect with God. Discover what God is doing in your life through a Scriptural promise each week. Be sure to pick up a book at the Welcome Center or request one at prayer@stpetersedina.org. Stop at the Welcome Center after worship to also get a gift bag filled with appreciation for you being here (and information about St. Peter’s.) Take a minute to complete a Connect Card in the seat back and leave it at the Welcome Center so we can welcome you with a gift or fill out a Digital Connect Card so we know you were with us and can provide answers to any questions you may have. Please worship with us again soon.

Sunday Bible Study 10:45am

NO CLASS TODAY SO WE CAN ATTEND THE VOTERS’ ASSEMBLY

This year we have a prayer focus. You are invited to spend some time on a deeper dive into prayer. There are many assumptions to be challenged to grasp prayer as a gift. We will have discussion and encouragement in your prayer life around a video teaching by Michael DeFazio, professor New Testament theology at Ozark Christian College. We will explore how to pray, what to pray, answer questions about prayer, and engage in many other topics surrounding prayer, in order to expand your knowledge of communicating with our Father.

Grab some coffee and a treat and join us after worship in the Discipleship Room just to the right as you leave the sanctuary. All are welcome.

What is Yellow, Pink, Blue, and White?

Altar flowers of course!

Want to be part of a triple blessing?
1) beautify our altar with flowers for Easter
2) that supports the “Raise the Roof” campaign
3) and give an Easter gift / take it home after the service

Be sure to indicate if your gift is in honor or memory of a loved one. Flowers orders are due March 22.

Altar Circle

Ladies of St. Peter’s,

Please join Eileen Bierbaum and Jill Yeager on Friday, March 13 for a morning of fellowship and service.  We will gather in Sacristy at 9:30am for croissants and coffee and discuss creating an altar circle small group while cleaning / organizing the cabinets that hold robes, banners, communion supplies, etc.  A circle is a group of people with a shared interest - preparing the sanctuary for worship.

Please email Jill at jill.m.yeager@gmail.com if you are able to join us or are interested in serving with this group but unable to attend.

A Legacy of Love

As God’s people, we are called to be faithful stewards of all that He has entrusted to us. This includes the opportunity to care for our families and to support Christ’s work even beyond our lifetime. You are invited to a practical and Christ-centered workshop, Legacy of Love, designed to help you think through end-of-life planning, family blessings, and charitable gifts to ministries you value. This workshop is offered as a gift to our congregation and community by Jon Lorton from the LCMS Foundation. No financial products will be promoted. Come learn how to prepare your plans with confidence, joy, and Christian stewardship. Wednesday, March 18, 11:30am-1:00pm - a complimentary Lunch will be served. Talk to Pastor Mark with questions.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. - 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)

Cradle of Hope

A baby bottle is filled with nourishment so that an infant can thrive. Want to come along side families facing pregnancy and financial difficulties? Take a bottle home and fill it with support in the form of coins, cash, or even a check and bring it back any week during March.

We need your help to be able to serve 3,000 women and their 3,000 babies this year!

You’re Invited!

Cradle of Hope is a ministry that supports moms and babies. Want to learn more and help? A new St. Peter’s member, Trina Jogunoori, has information for you to join with others at the Spring for Life Gala, Saturday, April 18, 2026, 5:00-10:00pm

Learn about the organization and warm your heart as you hear stories of little lives who are now flourishing because people joined together to care.

Trina has information available after the service or reach out to her to learn more: 763-222-4853

Wednesdays in Lent

Too often sin is seen as an external problem “out there” that needs to be dealt with, not as an internal problem within us; and while it is important not to indulge in self-pity, it is important to engage in true confession.

We are in the church season known as Lent. It is time for reflection, for confession, for prayer as we journey to the cross. Visit the website for a recorded message each Wednesday to help you discover Christ’s forgiveness provided upon the cross. Fill out a Digital Connect Card or a Connect Card at the Welcome Center to make sure we have your email so you receive each message in your inbox.

Don’t look up! Yuk!

Here is a simple, meaningful, noticeable way to help pay down the roof loan, beautify our entryway for guests and strengthen the future for our church and school.

For $5 you can purchase a ceiling tile (we need almost 400!) to replace all the ugly, unsightly, water stained tiles right as you walk in the building. Sign the back of the tile and you will be famous for the next generation. All $5 will immediately pay down the roof replacement loan balance.

Godly Homes are…

where young and old talk about God’s love.

“We love because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)

STP KIDS Busy Bags

We’re excited to share something new for our kids! We’ve created some new STP KIDS Busy Bags to help little hands stay engaged during service. These bags are packed with fun and helpful items like a “Mr. Pop” fidget, LCD writing tablet, a book, and other fidget toys to keep busy hands occupied. We’re excited to offer these as a way to support kids and families during service.

Ministry Update

Last Sunday there was a Voters’ Assembly where a ministry update was presented. If you missed it, here is the written report.

S.A.G.E.S Older Adults Gathering

Young or old, there are three questions everyone struggles to answer:

▶ Who am I?
▶ What do I have of value to offer others?
▶ What is my purpose in this world?

Young people struggle to answer those questions. If they answer them well, they generally have a confident, fulfilling life. If they do not, they usually struggle. They may have “success” by many measures, but they do not have a deep sense of confidence, peace and joy. Interestingly, as we age, these same questions once again press in on us. How we answer them in our later years is just as important to our well-being as in our younger years. The key for all of us, young and old, is to answer the questions not with what we think or what the world pushes, or what other people say, but with the answers our heavenly Father gives us.

You are invited to attend the SAGES Gathering, to be held May 4–5 at Country Inn and Suites in Mankato (1900 Premier Drive). Pastor Greg Finke will present “Living on Purpose with Jesus” and help us unpack the good news about the answers our heavenly Father gives us so we can continue living purposeful, fruitful and fulfilling lives each day. SAGES (Saints Alive, Growing, Ever Serving) is the older-adult ministry of the Minnesota South District. In addition, there will be workshops, a banquet, music, vendors and fellowship.

What is Jesus doing around you?

Ready to inspire and encourage others? Jesus is writing a story every day. Tell about what the Lord is doing around you. Did someone ask you a faith question? Did you have an opportunity to show love to a neighbor or a friend? It can be something huge or something very small. A random act of kindness that you were prompted to do? A discussion with a stranger? Share the story. When you do, your Christian friends will be motivated and ready to watch for what Jesus is doing in their lives too. He is up to something right now!!!

Use the online form by clicking the button below. You and the person you have in mind can be anonymous. We would love to hear about it.

Contribute in the Basket, Online, or by Mail

We encourage you to join us in the excitement of generous giving and watch what God is doing in our community and around the world. There is a basket just inside the main entryway if you would like to contribute - go to the giving options on the website by clicking the button below. Perhaps you want to support our ongoing ministry, give to the Mission Fund, or specifically help with the Facility Fund, the Gym Fund, or the Raise the Roof Campaign. Wherever and however you give, you will partner with God to bless others.

Together we meet families at the intersection of faith and real life.
