Greeting and Announcements
Psalm 26
Pastor: Forever, O Lord, Your Word is firmly set in the heavens.
All: Lord, I love the habitation of Your house and the place where Your glory dwells.
Pastor: Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it.
All: Lord, I love the habitation of Your house and the place where Your glory dwells.
Pastor: Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
All: Lord, I love the habitation of Your house and the place where Your glory dwells.
The Battle Hymn of the Republic
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord,
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword-
His truth is marching on.
REFRAIN
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never sound retreat,
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat;
O be swift, my soul, to answer Him! Be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.
In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me;
As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free,
While God is marching on.
Scripture Reading
Exodus 19:3-8 (NIV) - Then Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain and said, “This is what you are to say to the descendants of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.”
So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all the words the LORD had commanded him to speak. The people all responded together, “We will do everything the LORD has said.” So Moses brought their answer back to the LORD.

America the Beautiful
O beautiful for spacious skies
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern, impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness
America! America
God mend thine ev’ry flaw
Confirm thy soul in self control
Thy liberty in law

Message
Exodus 32:30 (NLT) - The next day Moses said to the people, "You have committed a terrible sin, but I will go back up to the LORD on the mountain. Perhaps I will be able to obtain forgiveness for your sin."
Exodus 32:31-32 (NLT) - So Moses returned to the LORD and said, "Oh, what a terrible sin these people have committed. They have made gods of gold for themselves. But now, if you will only forgive their sin-- but if not, erase my name from the record you have written!"
Exodus 32:33-34 (NLT) - But the LORD replied to Moses, "No, I will erase the name of everyone who has sinned against me. Now go, lead the people to the place I told you about. Look! My angel will lead the way before you. And when I come to call the people to account, I will certainly hold them responsible for their sins."
God of Our Fathers
God of our fathers, whose Almighty hand
Leads forth in beauty all the starry band
Of shining worlds in splendor through the skies;
Our grateful songs before your throne arise.
Your love divine has led us in the past;
In this free land by you our lot is cast;
Oh, be our ruler, guardian, guide, and stay;
Your Word our law, your paths our chosen way.
From war’s alarms, from deadly pestilence
Make your strong arm our ever sure defense.
Your true religion in our hearts increase;
Your bounteous goodness nourish us in peace.

All: We thank and praise the God of the nations.
Pastor: For the freedom to follow the way of the Lord, the freedom Christ has given from our sin and its consequences in our lives, and the freedom to share salvation;
All: We thank and praise the God of the nations.
If you are in need of prayer, we would love the opportunity to pray with you! You can post a prayer on our online prayer wall, or submit a private prayer to our prayer team.
Confession & Forgiveness
Pastor: Beloved in the Lord. Let us draw near with a true heart and confess our sins to God our Father, imploring Him in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to grant us forgiveness. Almighty God, our Maker and Redeemer, we poor sinners confess to You that we are by nature sinful and unclean and that we have sinned against You by thought, word, and deed: therefore we flee for refuge to Your boundless mercy, seeking and imploring Your grace for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ.
All: O most merciful God, since You have given Your only begotten Son to die for us, have mercy on us and for His sake grant us forgiveness of all our sins; and by Your Holy Spirit increase in us true knowledge of You and of Your will and true obedience to Your Word, to the end that by Your grace we may come to everlasting life; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Pastor: God, who has given us the liberties of our land, frees us from the power and penalty of sin. Trust in Christ as Your Savior and be assured that in His name God forgives you all of your sins.
Communion
The Lord’s Supper has been shared in America since the first days in this Land. Many came to North America for religious freedom. We continue to share that same sacrament today.
Holy Communion is offered to those who have been instructed in the Christian faith as confessed by the Lutheran Church. We believe that:
1) Jesus Christ is our only Lord and Savior from all sin, death, and the power of the devil;
2) the Risen Christ is really present in the Sacrament and that with the bread and wine we receive is His true Body and Blood; and
3) we resolve to dedicate our lives to the service of our Lord in His Body, the Church, by regular group worship, sacrificial giving, and thankful living.
If you have any questions please consult with the pastor.
Approach the altar on your own. Gluten-free hosts are available by requesting one from the communion server. Grape juice is located in the center ring of cups.
Before You Lord We Bow
Before You Lord we bow Our God who reigns above
And rules the world below Boundless in pow'r and love
Our thanks we bring In joy and praise
Our hearts we raise To You our King
The nation You have blest May well Your love declare
From foes and fears at rest Protected by Your care
For this bright day For this fair land
Gifts of Your hand our thanks we pay
And when in power He comes Oh may our native land
From all its rending tombs Send forth a glorious band
A countless throng with joy to sing
To Heavens high King Salvation’s song
The Lord’s Prayer
All: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Blessing
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV) - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
God Bless America
God bless America
Land that I love
Stand beside her and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains to the prairies
To the oceans white with foam.
