Announcements (5-25-25)
I feel like I’m going to explode
!
feel anger - become aggressive
feel frustrated - lash out
feel wronged - seek revenge
Jesus has some instruction for anger management. You will get angry. Learn to respond so you don't explode. We have a lot to learn from each other so we can be the version of ourselves that the Spirit guides.
If you are attending our in-person service, be sure to stop at the Welcome Center after worship to get a gift bag filled with appreciation for you being here. Please take a minute to complete a Connect Card in the seat back and share it with the smiling person behind the Welcome Center so we can welcome you with a gift.
If you are connecting online, we’d be happy to get a gift bag to you too. Fill out a Digital Connect Card and be sure to indicate that you would like the gift bag. Please come again soon.
It’s OK that I’m not OK!
Discover the relief that comes from telling God that you're not OK. By looking at common struggles like worry, depression, inadequacy, sadness, and emotional conflict, find how God will help you experience peace, joy, hope, and love no matter what struggle you are going through. So it's okay to tell God when you are struggling.
This week and the Sundays in May, we will be taking an honest look at the struggles we all face. Got any? Thought so! be sure to go back and view any of the previous recorded messages.
If you want to go a little deeper into what the Bible says and get some support from others, come join us for the Bible Study at 10:45am led by Pastor Mark. The themes go along with the message for each week. We just take our time in the Bible. You are welcome to attend - in the Discipleship Room down at the far end of the Commons to the right as you leave the sanctuary. Grab something to drink and some treats. Eating is encouraged! We’ve got a Bible waiting for you.
The Book of Proverbs
New Sunday message series beginning June 1. Join us as we open our Bibles together and work through one chapter of the book of Proverbs every day. We will start with chapter 1 on June 1, etc.
The book of Proverbs was originally written to a young man by his elder in an attempt to pass down both godly wisdom and instruction. Together the book’s themes of wisdom and folly running through the daily readings will be investigated with specific touchpoints. How can followers of Jesus build their lives on a foundation of wisdom? What does the book of Proverbs say about how we live our daily life?
New St. Peter’s Grieving Group Forming in June
We’d like to invite you to a gathering of very special people here at St. Peter’s who are familiar with sadness. We have several individuals who are grieving the loss of a spousein the last months or years. This summer, I’d you are invited to be part of a group of men and women who have experienced the unique sadness of living after the death of a husband or a wife. We need others to remind us that until we are reunited in heaven one day, that we can live with hope. Starting in June, please Pastor Mark as he launches a People of Hope grief group here at St. Peter’s downstairs in the living room. If you are interested or want more information, there is a sign up on the Welcome Center or click the link below.
And feel free to invite others who have had a shared experience with you.

Joining Jesus
48 books are in the hands of the St. Peter’s family! A group of 11 St. Peter’s got together to plan how we might better join Jesus on His mission. We will be rolling that out beginning in July with a new series of Sunday messages around Joining Jesus and telling our own “Stories.”
Joining Jesus on His Mission will alter the way you recognize where Jesus is already at work in people all around you. You will feel both relief and hope. You may even hear yourself say, “I can do this!” as you start responding to the everyday opportunities Jesus is placing in your path.
Get a head start. Pick up a complimentary “Joining Jesus on His Mission” book at the Welcome Center (or keep reading if you already picked one up. You can implement living as a follower of Jesus immediately.
