You probably have many questions for God. He isn’t ignoring you. He isn’t punishing you. He isn’t withholding His goodness from you.

Invocation

God Answers
Pastor: What is prayer? Prayer is communication with our Heavenly Father. Prayer is not our way of getting God to do what we want. Prayer should be focused on things that honor and glorify God.
All: “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. (Luke 11:2)
Pastor: We pray together:
All: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Pastor: This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
All: And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him. (1 John 5:14-15)
Pastor: Jesus said, " If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." (John 15:7)
All: Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me! (Psalm 66:20)
Pastor: And so we conclude:
All: For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

STP KIDS is the Children’s Ministry at St. Peter’s Edina, designed for all children from 6 months to 10 years old (Grade 5). Older children are welcome to participate as helpers. Our vision is to partner with parents in raising up a generation of children that will seek their God-given Kingdom mission and impact their world for Jesus!
