Welcome & Invocation
Did you realize the Holy Spirit even intercedes for us when we don’t know how to pray for ourselves? When you’re too tired, too sad, too angry, or too confused, the Holy Spirit is interceding for us “with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.” (Romans 8:26-27)
What a gift we have in the Holy Spirit. Maybe you are currently facing one of those times. If you have no words, just breathe and know the Holy Spirit is interceding for you right now!

The Explanation of the 3rd Article
Leader: We confess our faith as we recite the 3rd article of the Apostles creed together:
All: I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Leader: What does this mean?
All: I believe that I cannot by my own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord, or come to Him; but the Holy Spirit has called me by the Gospel, enlightened me with His gifts, sanctified and kept me in the true faith. In the same way He calls, gathers, enlightens, and sanctifies the whole Christian church on earth, and keeps it with Jesus Christ in the one true faith. In this Christian church He daily and richly forgives all my sins and the sins of all believers. On the Last Day He will raise me and all the dead, and give eternal life to me and all believers in Christ. This is most certainly true.
Leader: Knowing the Spirit intercedes for you should bring deep comfort. Your prayers are not left incomplete or unheard. Even when you’re overwhelmed, wordless, or confused, God’s Spirit is praying on your behalf, translating your heart’s cry into petitions that match God’s perfect will. And Christ Himself is interceding for you at the Father’s right hand.
Scripture Reading
Romans 8:26-28 (NIV) - In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
STP KIDS Dismissal
STP KIDS is the Children’s Ministry at St. Peter’s Edina, designed for all children from 6 months to 10 years old (Grade 5). Older children are welcome to participate as helpers. Our vision is to partner with parents in raising up a generation of children that will seek their God-given Kingdom mission and impact their world for Jesus!

The Lord’s Prayer
