Welcome!
What do you do with the regrets that keep replaying in your mind? The phone call you didn't make. The apology you never sent. The time with family that was missed.
Today, we will explore the difference between worldly sorrow and Godly sorrow: the kind of regret that keeps us stuck in guilt and shame and the kind of regret that draws us back to God. You are not confined to your past. Jesus carried every regret to the cross, and He frees you to live with peace, joy, and a new direction. If you've ever felt weighed down by past mistakes, missed opportunities, broken relationships, or sin you can't stop thinking about, God is able and willing to free you from living with regret.
Greeting and Announcements
No Regrets
Pastor: We come before God carrying memories of words we wish we had not spoken, opportunities we wish we had not missed, and moments we wish we could reclaim.
All: Lord, we confess that we often live with regret.
Pastor: We regret time wasted, relationships neglected, and sins committed.
All: Yet we come to a God who is rich in mercy and abundant in grace.
Pastor: God's Word tells us, "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret."
All: Lord, turn our sorrow into repentance and our repentance into joy.
Pastor: Jesus carried our sins to the cross and paid for every failure, every mistake, and every regret.
All: In Christ, we are forgiven, redeemed, and made new.
Pastor: The enemy wants us to be trapped by the past.
All: But God calls us to freedom, hope, and a new beginning.
Pastor: We cannot change yesterday, but by God's grace we can trust Him today.
All: We leave our regrets in His hands and place our future in His care.
Pastor: Let us worship the One who forgives our sins, restores our hearts, and leads us forward with no regrets.
All: We will worship the Lord with gratitude, confidence, and joy. Amen.

Scripture Reading
2 Corinthians 7:2-13 (NIV) - Make room for us in your hearts. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have exploited no one. I do not say this to condemn you; I have said before that you have such a place in our hearts that we would live or die with you. I have spoken to you with great frankness; I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged; in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds.
For when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn—conflicts on the outside, fears within. But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever.
Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it—I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while— yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter. So even though I wrote to you, it was neither on account of the one who did the wrong nor on account of the injured party, but rather that before God you could see for yourselves how devoted to us you are. By all this we are encouraged.
STP KIDS Dismissal
STP KIDS is the Children’s Ministry at St. Peter’s Edina, designed for all children from 6 months to 10 years old (Grade 5). Older children are welcome to participate as helpers. Our vision is to partner with parents in raising up a generation of children that will seek their God-given Kingdom mission and impact their world for Jesus!

Thanksgiving Prayer Before Holy Communion
Words of Institution / Communion Distribution
Holy Communion is offered to those who have been instructed in the Christian faith as confessed by the Lutheran Church. We believe that:
1) Jesus Christ is our only Lord and Savior from all sin, death, and the power of the devil;
2) the Risen Christ is really present in the Sacrament and that with the bread and wine we receive is His true Body and Blood; and
3) we resolve to dedicate our lives to the service of our Lord in His Body, the Church, by regular group worship, sacrificial giving, and thankful living.

Approach the altar on your own. Gluten-free hosts are available by requesting one from the communion server. Grape juice is located in the center ring of cups.
The Lord’s Prayer
