Greeting & Announcements

As we enter into this holiday time of year, may you find many Again moments with your loved ones. Events that you desire would continue. Again moments are so precious. Treasure each one. Each is a God moment where you see His goodness and blessing. They are worth repeating… again!

This Week's Announcements

God’s Again

Pastor: When we discover the love and goodness of the Lord, we want to experience it again and again.
All: Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
(Philippians 4:4)

Pastor: And so we rejoice and find contentment in His goodness.
All: “Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” 
 
(Psalm 23:6)

Pastor: God's love changes everything. We long to experience it again.
All: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”

(Lamentations 3:22-23)

Pastor: Again means repetition. How wonderful it is to experience God's goodness continually. 
All: “For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” 

(Psalm 100:5)

Pastor: God has been faithful and involved in every season, from birth to your final breath. As the song proclaims, “All my life You have been faithful,” Come, let us worship Him as we discover His goodness again and again.

Scripture Reading

Lamentation 3:22-26 (NIV) - Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.


STP KIDS Dismissal

STP KIDS is the Children’s Ministry at St. Peter’s Edina, designed for all children from 6 months to 10 years old (Grade 5). Older children are welcome to participate as helpers. Our vision is to partner with parents in raising up a generation of children that will seek their God-given Kingdom mission and impact their world for Jesus!

The Nicene Creed - He suffered and was buried. And the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures and ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. And He will come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead, whose kingdom will have no end.

1 Thessalonians 4:14-18 (NIV) - For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Pastor: For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.

All: And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.

Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
