Announcements (5-24-26)
Could you use some comfort?
Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He promised to send the Comforter - the Holy Spirit. Jesus knew His disciples would need comfort. At Pentecost, they were filled with the Holy Spirit. They continued gathering and praying together. And they found comfort.
Do you need comfort today? Hear the words of Jesus: “I will ask the Father and He will give you another comforter, and He will never leave you.” John 14:16

Vada Ewald Memorial Service
A family led celebration of life will be held for Vada Ewald at St. Peter’s on Friday, May 29, at 11:30am. Her children and grandchildren have put together a memorial to honor her life and celebrate her faith. It includes glimpses of women of faith in the Bible and the influence they had on their families and friends. You are invited to participate.
Memorial gifts are requested for VEAP food pantry - one of her fond volunteer service opportunities through the years.
Get Your Unlabeled Theatre Company Tickets
The new show, Once Upon a Mattress runs through May 24. The actors have worked hard preparing to make you smile. Come see the difference when labels are removed and young men and women truly put their hearts into their performance. Your attendance makes both the actors and shadow partners feel valued!
A Review of the Show
Our own Rachel Moquist and Mason Green are pictured in a moment of the Once Upon a Mattress performance that wraps up with a final performance this afternoon.
Don’t lose sight about how special these young actors are! Experience it for yourself this week. Here is an amazing quote from an article about Once Upon a Mattress.
“We often focus on our own enjoyment of a show, which is important, of course. But in a production like this, what stands out first is how much the cast is enjoying themselves, and that joy is infectious.”

Have questions about prayer?
You are invited to spend some time building a richer life of prayer. After worship on Sunday morning, we have a discussion and encouragement for your prayer life around a video teaching by Michael DeFazio, professor of New Testament theology at Ozark Christian College. We will explore how to pray, what to pray, answer questions about prayer, and engage in many other topics surrounding prayer in order to expand your knowledge of communicating with our Father.
Next Session on June 7: More Questions About Prayer
Grab some coffee and a treat and join us at 10:45am after worship in the Discipleship Room just to the right as you leave the sanctuary. All are welcome.
GENESIS
No… not the car. Long before that name was a brand of vehicle - our God created the world out of nothing. Humanity was part of that creation. The Creator wants an ongoing relationship with you!
Alright men, it is a perfect time to join a small group that gathers every Friday from 7:30-8:30am. We are still in the first few verses of Genesis. Bring your questions, prepare to see the story from before time began, and be challenged to see if it makes a difference in the way you live.
Contact Lowell (612-875-4185) if you want to receive a copy of the book we will use to guide our study. It is massive so you will want to start reading. We move fast. We dig deep. We apply what we learn in practical ways. There is a place for you at the table - and a donut.
We love it when you worship with us!
Your life is full. When you can’t worship in person, be sure to view the weekly message on the St Peter’s-Edina YouTube channel.
May we add you to our weekly email list so that you get a reminder with a link and the weekly announcements as well?
