No St. Peter’s Worship July 5

America’s 250th! This will be a big celebration year. With the expectation of big celebrations, family gatherings and travel, we are encouraging people to be present in their communities / with their families. We have prepared a HOME GUIDE FOR PRAYER, BLESSINGS & EVERYDAY LOVE with suggestions of how to join Jesus on His mission and show love to your neighbors in America. The Weekly Prayer Project theme this week is “Let Love Abound”. St. Peter’s will not gather for Sunday worship on July 5. Members can use their Prayer Project journal for some personal worship time wherever you find yourself this weekend, and view an inspirational video and a message from Pastor Mark.

Family & Neighbor Activities for America’s 250th Birthday Weekend

Enjoy a parade, go for a boat ride, listen to a concert, take in some fireworks, fire up the grill, and Let Love Abound! (That is our Weekly Prayer Project theme for Independence Day weekend.) Here is a guide for prayer, blessing & everyday love. Use it all weekend. There are 10 practical ways to share love. Come up with your own. There is also a prayer to use as you gather with friends and family and a family blessing moment suggestion. Can we come up with 100 ways that love abounds? On Sunday, July 12 we will share a way to report how the St Peter’s family of faith did just that. We are excited to hear how you joined Jesus on His mission in your neighborhood.

Give a Special Gift in Honor of America’s 250th

Our desire is to join Jesus on His mission in our neighborhoods and in our country. Through your offerings, we make Christ known throughout America.

If you want to join us, go to the giving options on the website by clicking the button below. Wherever and however and whenever you give, you will partner with God to bless others.

Together we meet families at the intersection of faith and real life.

Independence Day Hours

We are encouraging everyone to spend time with your neighbors for America’s 250th Birthday. Both the church office and the ECEC will be closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, July 3-6.

Next Sunday there will be no in-person service. Enjoy the 250th together with family and friends! We will send tools to help you show love to your neighbors. There will also be a video message from St. Peter's to share.

May God bless the U.S.A.!

Godly Homes…

where respect for God and the government are found.

“Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the king.” — 1 Peter 2:17

St. Peter’s is praying for our family of faith because your home is located at the intersection of faith and real life.

Enjoy the 4th with family and neighbors!

The First Article

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

What does this mean? I believe that God has made me and all creatures; that He has given me my body and soul, eyes, ears, and all my members, my reason and all my senses, and still takes care of them. He also gives me clothing and shoes, food and drink, house and home, wife and children, land, animals, and all I have. He richly and daily provides me with all that I need to support this body and life. He defends me against all danger and guards and protects me from all evil. All this He does only out of fatherly, divine goodness and mercy, without any merit or worthiness in me. For all this it is my duty to thank and praise, serve and obey Him. This is most certainly true.

This is a pivotal time for our Nation!

"If My people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

When a nation is divided, to whom can we turn? Perfectly timed for our Nation’s 250th Anniversary, If My People is a prayer guide that will help you seek God’s blessing and guidance for the future of our country. Pastor Mark will lead us during the Sunday Bible Study time at 10:45am resuming July 12. Please join us. Our Nation needs your prayers!

War Room Screening & Brunch

The Jordans seemingly have it all - great jobs, a beautiful daughter, their dream home. But appearances can be deceiving. In reality, their marriage has become a war zone and their daughter is collateral damage. But with the help of Miss Clara, an older, wiser woman, Elizabeth discovers she can start fighting for her family instead of against them. With her newly energized faith, Elizabeth’s real enemy doesn’t have a prayer.

Join us on Sunday, August 2 after worship for brunch, followed by the showing of War Room - Prayer is a Powerful Weapon, downstairs in the St. Peter’s Theatre Room.

The movie lasts 120 minutes. Then the following 5 weeks, beginning August 9, our Sunday Bible Class will include short clips from the movie and discussion of challenging Scriptural lessons about the power of prayer.
